Introduction:
A group of
children from our school visited Golden Stable Wood which is near Tonbridge in
Kent. It is a field studies centre where visitors can get involved
in a large number of activities which teach them about the
environment.
We thought it was a very good place for children and adults. It would have good facilities if we came with a school group. There is plenty of classroom space available if needed and an undercover picnic area for bad weather.
The top floor of the oast building is used as a display area. Sometimes live exhibits can be seen and there are lots of identification charts to look at.
